For me, art has always been a process of combining irresistible complexities and subtle images. It is a never-ending search for ideas that I can translate into new forms, colors and textures. And it is never more pleasing than when I am able to cross-pollinate between ideas such as, let's say, the beautiful and the delicious. Hence, it was almost effortless for me to translate my love of fine wines into images in art jewelry.

Winemaking and bead-weaving have both evolved over centuries. Their perfection has required endless experimentation, patience and precision as new methods, materials, tastes and ideas have come along. Each individual wine has characteristics derived from its varietal grape, native soil, temperature, altitude and method of fabrication. Perhaps only beadweaving can capture these infinite complexities with the endless variation in shapes, textures and colors available to the beadweaver.
